Indian Hog Deer

 The 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐡𝐨𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐫 (𝐀𝐱𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐬), or 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐫, is a 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 to the region of the 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭 and 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐨-𝐆𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐥𝐚𝐢𝐧. A mature hog deer 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐠 stands about 𝟕𝟎 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬 at the 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫, and 𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐬 approximately 𝟓𝟎 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬 ,𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐬 are much 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫, standing about 𝟔𝟏 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐬 and 𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 around 𝟑𝟎 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐬. The Indian Hog Deer occurs in 𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚, 𝐍𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐥, 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐁𝐡𝐮𝐭𝐚𝐧, 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐡, 𝐌𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐦𝐚𝐫 and 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚'𝐬 𝐘𝐮𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞,has been reintroduced to 𝐓𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 but is 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐱𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐭 in 𝐋𝐚𝐨𝐬 and 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐧𝐚𝐦.𝐀 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥, 𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 lives in 𝐂𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐚’𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐤 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐛 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲.  𝐓𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐫 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐞 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 is spread across the 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐑𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐲 in the 𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐤𝐚𝐬 of 𝐊𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐮𝐫 and 𝐆𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐣𝐢 in 𝐘𝐚𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐥 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐭 on 𝐍𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐮𝐫 - 𝐇𝐲𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐝 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐰𝐚𝐲 𝐍𝐨. 𝟕 in 𝐌𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐫𝐚 , 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚.  The 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐠, 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐰𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧-𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐠 or 𝐛𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐣𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐠 (𝐎𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐠𝐚 𝐩𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐨, formerly 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐨) is a species of 𝐬𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐠 found in 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚.It is common throughout its range, which extends from 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐍𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐚 through 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐚 𝐑𝐢𝐜𝐚 and 𝐧𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐰𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐚. The species is often found in 𝐡𝐮𝐦𝐢𝐝 𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 and 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭, but 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 are also found in 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬 such as 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬.The strawberry poison frog is 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 for its 𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐯𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 in 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, comprising approximately 𝟏𝟓–𝟑𝟎 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐩𝐡𝐬, most of which are presumed to be 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐞-𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠.  The 𝐬𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐝 (𝐎𝐩𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐬) is a 𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐝 in the 𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 (𝐀𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐞). The species is 𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 to 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬. Slender glass lizards have 𝐲𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 to 𝐛𝐫𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐬 with 𝐬𝐢𝐱 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐞𝐬 and they have a 𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐥 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐞.  𝐎. 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐬 can attain a 𝐭𝐨𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡 of 𝟎.𝟓𝟔 𝐦 to 𝟎.𝟗𝟏 𝐦.The species is closely related to 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬.Its 𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥 comprises 𝐭𝐰𝐨-𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐝𝐬 of its 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡.Its 𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐬 are supported by an 𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐦 which makes the body 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝 and 𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐟.
