Linnaeus was born in the village of ๐‘รฅ๐ฌ๐ก๐ฎ๐ฅ๐ญ in ๐’๐ฆรฅ๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐, ๐’๐ฐ๐ž๐๐ž๐ง, on ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Œ๐š๐ฒ ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ•๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ•.

The establishment of universally accepted conventions for the naming of organisms was Linnaeus's main contribution to taxonomy—his work marks the ๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ฉ๐จ๐ข๐ง๐ญ of ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ž of ๐›๐ข๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐ข๐š๐ฅ ๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž..During the 18th century expansion of natural history knowledge, Linnaeus also developed what became known as the ๐‹๐ข๐ง๐ง๐š๐ž๐š๐ง ๐ญ๐š๐ฑ๐จ๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐ฒ; the system of scientific classification now widely used in the biological sciences.Linnaeus's groupings were based upon ๐ฌ๐ก๐š๐ซ๐ž๐ ๐ฉ๐ก๐ฒ๐ฌ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐œ๐ก๐š๐ซ๐š๐œ๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ฌ๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐ฌ, and ๐ง๐จ๐ญ based upon ๐๐ข๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ฌ.
