 The ๐œ๐จ๐š๐ฌ๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ฉ๐š๐ง (๐Ž๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐œ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ฌ), or ๐œ๐จ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐จ๐ง ๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ฉ๐š๐ง,is a species of ๐ž๐ฑ๐ญ๐ซ๐ž๐ฆ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ง๐š๐ค๐ž in the ๐Ÿ๐š๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐„๐ฅ๐š๐ฉ๐ข๐๐š๐ž.The snake is considered to be a ๐ฅ๐ž๐š๐ฌ๐ญ-๐œ๐จ๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ซ๐ง ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐œ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ according to the ๐ˆ๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ง๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐š๐ฅ ๐”๐ง๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐š๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž.

Adult specimens of this species typically measure around ๐Ÿ.๐Ÿ ๐ฆ in ๐ญ๐จ๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก (๐ข๐ง๐œ๐ฅ๐ฎ๐๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐š๐ข๐ฅ). More mature specimens can grow to between ๐Ÿ.๐Ÿ“ and ๐Ÿ.๐ŸŽ ๐ฆ. A specimen of an average ๐Ÿ.๐ŸŽ ๐ฆ ๐ญ๐จ๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐ ๐ญ๐ก ๐ฐ๐ž๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ฌ ๐š๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ง๐ ๐Ÿ‘.๐ŸŽ ๐ค๐ .It has a ๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐  and ๐ง๐š๐ซ๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ ๐ก๐ž๐š๐ with an ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐š๐ซ ๐›๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ and is ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ž๐ซ-๐œ๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ž๐. The body is ๐ฌ๐ฅ๐ž๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ and colouration can vary.It is often ๐ฎ๐ง๐ข๐Ÿ๐จ๐ซ๐ฆ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ ๐จ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฏ๐ž or ๐ซ๐ž๐๐๐ข๐ฌ๐ก-๐›๐ซ๐จ๐ฐ๐ง in colour, but some specimens may be ๐๐š๐ซ๐ค ๐ ๐ซ๐š๐ฒ to ๐›๐ฅ๐š๐œ๐ค. The colouration is ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ๐ž๐ซ on the ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐›๐จ๐๐ฒ, and ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ฅ ๐ฌ๐ข๐๐ž is usually a ๐œ๐ซ๐ž๐š๐ฆ๐ฒ-๐ฐ๐ก๐ข๐ญ๐ž to a ๐ฉ๐š๐ฅ๐ž ๐ฅ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ ๐ฒ๐ž๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ in colour , and is often marked with ๐จ๐ซ๐š๐ง๐ ๐ž or ๐ฉ๐ข๐ง๐ค ๐Ÿ๐ฅ๐ž๐œ๐ค๐ฌ.

The coastal taipan occurs in ๐ง๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ง ๐€๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ฅ๐ข๐š and ๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ญ๐ก๐ž๐ซ๐ง ๐๐ž๐ฐ ๐†๐ฎ๐ข๐ง๐ž๐š. The coastal taipan's diet consists predominantly of ๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ฌ, ๐ฆ๐ข๐œ๐ž, and ๐›๐š๐ง๐๐ข๐œ๐จ๐จ๐ญ๐ฌ, with ๐ฏ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐จ๐ฎ๐ฌ ๐ฌ๐ฉ๐ž๐œ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐›๐ข๐ซ๐๐ฌ captured opportunistically.
