Dingo

 The 𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐨 (𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬) is a 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐠𝐞 of 𝐝𝐨𝐠 found in 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚.

The dingo is a 𝐦𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐮𝐦-𝐬𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐝 with a 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐧, 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐲 𝐛𝐨𝐝𝐲 that is 𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐝 for 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐞𝐝, 𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲, and 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚. The 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝 is the 𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭 of the body, 𝐰𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞-𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐝, and 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 in proportion to the body . The 𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐬 𝟏𝟓.𝟖 𝐤𝐠 and the 𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝟏𝟒.𝟏 𝐤𝐠. The 𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡 is 𝟏𝟐𝟓 𝐜𝐦 and the 𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝟏𝟐𝟐 𝐜𝐦. The 𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 stands at the 𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 of 𝟓𝟗 𝐜𝐦 and the 𝐟𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝟓𝟔 𝐜𝐦 .The dingo's 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬 are 𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫, 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 and 𝐭𝐚𝐧, and 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦𝐲 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞.

The dingo's 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 covers a variety of habitats, including the 𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 of 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚, the 𝐚𝐥𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 of the 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬, the 𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐭 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐬 of 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚, and the 𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐬 and 𝐰𝐞𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 of 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐀𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐚.

Dingoes in the 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝟑–𝟓 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 with few living past 𝟕–𝟖 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬. Most of the dingo's diet consists of 𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐨, 𝐬𝐰𝐚𝐦𝐩 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐲, 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞, 𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐩, 𝐝𝐮𝐬𝐤𝐲 𝐫𝐚𝐭, 𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐩𝐢𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐬𝐞, 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐛𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐥 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐦, 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠-𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐫𝐚𝐭, 𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐲, 𝐄𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐫𝐚𝐛𝐛𝐢𝐭, and 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐭.
