Russell's Viper

 ð‘ðŪ𝐎𝐎𝐞ðĨðĨ'𝐎 ðŊðĒðĐ𝐞ðŦ (𝐃𝐚𝐛ðĻðĒ𝐚 ðŦðŪ𝐎𝐎𝐞ðĨðĒðĒ) is a ðĄðĒð ðĄðĨðē ðŊ𝐞𝐧ðĻðĶðĻðŪ𝐎 snake in the family 𝐕ðĒðĐ𝐞ðŦðĒ𝐝𝐚𝐞. 

The species is named after 𝐏𝐚𝐭ðŦðĒ𝐜ðĪ 𝐑ðŪ𝐎𝐎𝐞ðĨðĨ, a 𝐒𝐜ðĻ𝐭𝐭ðĒðŽðĄ ðĄðžðŦðĐ𝐞𝐭ðĻðĨðĻ𝐠ðĒ𝐎𝐭 who first described many of India's snakes.

The snake's color pattern consists of a 𝐝𝐞𝐞ðĐ ðē𝐞ðĨðĨðĻ𝐰 or 𝐛ðŦðĻ𝐰𝐧 ground color, with ð­ðĄðŦ𝐞𝐞 𝐎𝐞ðŦðĒ𝐞𝐎 of 𝐝𝐚ðŦðĪ 𝐛ðŦðĻ𝐰𝐧 𝐎ðĐðĻ𝐭𝐎  that run the length of the body.Russell's viper grows to a maximum body and tail length of 𝟏𝟔𝟔 𝐜ðĶ and averages about 𝟏𝟐𝟎 𝐜ðĶ .

Russell's viper is found in 𝐈𝐧𝐝ðĒ𝐚, 𝐒ðŦðĒ 𝐋𝐚𝐧ðĪ𝐚, 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠ðĨðšððžðŽðĄ, 𝐍𝐞ðĐ𝐚ðĨ, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐚ðĪðĒ𝐎𝐭𝐚𝐧.

Russell's viper is ðĻðŊðĻðŊðĒðŊðĒðĐ𝐚ðŦðĻðŪ𝐎.The gestation period is ðĶðĻðŦ𝐞 than 𝐎ðĒðą ðĶðĻð§ð­ðĄðŽ.

Russell's viper feeds primarily on ðŦðĻ𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐎, 𝐎ðĶ𝐚ðĨðĨ ðŦ𝐞ðĐ𝐭ðĒðĨ𝐞𝐎, ðĨ𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜ðŦ𝐚𝐛𝐎, 𝐎𝐜ðĻðŦðĐðĒðĻ𝐧𝐎, and ðĻð­ðĄðžðŦ 𝐚ðŦð­ðĄðŦðĻðĐðĻ𝐝𝐎.
