Carolus Linnaeus

 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐥 𝐋𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐞𝐮𝐬 was a 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐛𝐢𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭 and 𝐩𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧 who formalised 𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, the 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦 of 𝐧𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐦𝐬. He is known as the "𝐟𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐭𝐚𝐱𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐲". Linnaeus was born in the village of 𝐑å𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐥𝐭 in 𝐒𝐦å𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝, 𝐒𝐰𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐧, on 𝟐𝟑 𝐌𝐚𝐲 𝟏𝟕𝟎𝟕.  𝐈𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐲 is a 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝, 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 from the 𝐭𝐮𝐬𝐤𝐬 and 𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐡 of 𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐬, that consists mainly of 𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞.𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐲, ivory can also be produced 𝐬𝐲𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲, hence 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 the retrieval of the material from animals.  𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐬, commonly known as the 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐠, is a large species of 𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐤-𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐠 found in 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 and 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚.  The 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐨𝐧 𝐊𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐭 (𝐁𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐮𝐬), also known as 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥 𝐤𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐭, is a species of 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 snakes of the genus 𝐁𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐬 in the 𝐄𝐥𝐚𝐩𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐞 family, native to the 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭. It is one of the 𝐁𝐢𝐠 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐧𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐬 that inflict the most snakebites on humans in 𝐏𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧, 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚 and 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐡. The average length of the common krait is 𝟎.𝟗 𝐦.Their coloration is generally 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 or 𝐛𝐥𝐮𝐢𝐬𝐡-𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤, with about 𝟒𝟎 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧, 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬𝐛𝐚𝐫𝐬. This common krait is distributed from 𝐒𝐢𝐧𝐝𝐡 to 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐁𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐥, throughout 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚, and 𝐒𝐫𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐚, at elevations up to about 𝟏,𝟔𝟎𝟎 𝐦.  The 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐨𝐧 or 𝐩𝐚𝐝𝐝𝐲𝐛𝐢𝐫𝐝 (𝐀𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐨𝐥𝐚 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐢) is a small heron. It is of 𝐎𝐥𝐝 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 origins, breeding in 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐈𝐫𝐚𝐧 and 𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 to the 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐁𝐮𝐫𝐦𝐚, and 𝐒𝐫𝐢 𝐋𝐚𝐧𝐤𝐚.
